I have been looking around for years on how to write a book. One of my friends said for me to just write. I tried that and it didn’t feel right for me.
After reading enough materials on writing to cover the moon (not really), I discovered that I was looking for my own “writing process”.
It seems it is different for each and every writer out there.
I just need to come up with my own. Keep it simple and just add to things like a “snowflake”. Randy Ingermanson’s Snowflake idea is cool. A novel can be written as you go, but most likely will need countless revisions. I like the idea of design a little, write a little. Tweak as you go. Larry Brook’s Story Engineering helped me in finding what needs to go into the novel. I wished I had his stuff years ago.
I think I will go with designing stuff and see how it goes.
